I've been looking at the map of Seville and trying to figure out the best schedule for our 2 days in Seville. Our airbnb is located on Calle Francos. I wouldn't describe us as people who will go really in depth when visiting various attractions but we do want to see the following: free walking tour of Seville, Alcazar, the cathedral, Plaza Espana, the bull ring, a Flamenco show, Barrio Santa Cruz and Triana and of course some tapas. We will be there June 4-7, arriving from Barcelona around 7pm on the Monday night. We likely start our days between 10-11 and are not go go go. Any suggestions of the order to hit these attractions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Triana is off by itself on the other side of the river, across from the bull ring and torre del oro, but not a long walk from c/ Franco (8/10 of a mile). If this is your first time in Sevilla, you’ll probably spend a lot of time in the cathedral, giralda, and alcazar. They are next to each other in Santa cruz. The plaza de espana and maria luisa park are beside each other and 6/10 of a mile from the cathedral. Likewise, the bull ring and torre de oro are close to each other, and also, only a few minutes walk (4/10 of a mile) from the cathedral. Maybe do the cathedral, giralda, plaza de espana, and park one day, and do the alcazar, bullring, and torre de oro the other. Between the two days you’ll find time for exploring the neighborhood. I’ve never gone to a flemenco show in Sevilla. A few minutes of it is sufficient for me and I saw plenty of it at festivals.
My husband and I were in Seville last month and like you don't like to run from one thing to the next. The first thing I would do is go online and book your tickets to the Alcazar. We were there at the beginning of April and had to stand in line over an hour for tickets. I would then plan my days around that. Where you are staying is an easy location to walk to everything. Wander the Barrio Santa Cruz, visit Alcazar and the cathedral, easily at your own pace.
A fun thing we enjoyed at the Alcazar is out in the garden you'll find the only working (of 4 in the world) water powered organ pipe clocks. It plays on the hour so keep it in mind.
We attended the Rick recommended Casa de Memoria for Flamenco (call to reserve tickets, they speak English). It was an hour show so long enough but not too long. It is right off of Calle Sierpes (wonderful for experiencing the paseo.)
Thank you for sharing your ideas and experiences. Very helpful.
Flamenco at Casa de Memoria was a must see.
Alcazar, cathedra, Plaza Espana.
We stayed just down the street from the cathedral and it was perfect. I think the nearest street was calle Mateos Gago. We ate at so many wonderful restaurants in Seville. The food alone was worth the trip there!
