My husband and I are in our mid-30s. We are planning a trip to Barcelona in September/October and would like to add 1 other city to our trip (total travel time is 8-10 days). Some things we are looking for in destination #2: hiking, biking (leisurely), coastal environment. Since our time is limited, we do not want to spend an entire day traveling to destination #2. Any thoughts??

Greatly appreciate your wisdom in using 8 to 10 days to invest in one to two cities. Be sure and visit Monserrat as it offers great experiences with hiking. I am wondering if you can obtain enough coastal environment during your stay in Barcelona which would allow exploration of Wonderful's recommendation?

To Zaragoza add Girona....or Port Ligat, the house of Salvador Dali...Wonderful, feet from the water..and the drive from Barcelona to Port Ligat is wonderful!!
