Traveling through Basque country, seeking accommodations in Getaria (with sea views) & Ainhona that are unique and charming, sea Both suggestions (San Prudenzia & Saiaz Getaira) are fully booked! We want two bases (Getaria or nearby) and Ainhona (for the French side).

my good friend is french basque with some family still there. they are from saint martin de arrossa and stayed at:
hotel eskualduna chez katina and another place in saint jean pied de port
look on booking.com for many small villages (saint martin de arrossa, saint etienne de baigorry, saint jean de port)
many family owned "houses" with some having restaurants below, pools, garden views, on their farmland.

look at all the small villages around the countrysides (esplette, ascain, ainhoa, itxassou, osses, cambo les bains, saint jean pied de port: monday farmers market day) which are known for certain things worth looking at.

Not Getaria, but we stayed at the Parador at Hondarrbia. Our room had a great view of the bay. Not sure if you ever got that Parador website to work for you.
