10 Days in Spain with kids

I'm planning the following itinerary and would appreciate any advice:

4 nights in Barcelona

Drive or train to Granada??

3 nights in Granada (car for the rest of this intinerary)

1 night in Capileira

1 night in Nerja

Fly out of Malaga to Scotland

Is the drive to Granada from Barcelona bearable with 3 teenagers? I'd rather not fly to see the countryside.

I'd fly to Granada. It's the fastest and probably also cheaper than a train. I'd recommend driving if you planned stops along the way. For this trip it seems time is your most precious commodity, so a flight will be the best way to cover the long trip between Barcelona and Granada quickly. Check out Vueling, a low cost airline that should cover the route regularly.

Car for the rest of the itinerary is fine. I haven't been to Capileira and I'm not a fan of Costa del Sol. I much prefer Costa de la Luz. I'd probably take my time to visit Antequera (see the passage tombs) on the way to a night in Ronda. The next day visit Gibraltar then stay the night around Tarifa before driving back to Malaga.
