Hi all.
We are planning travel from London to the Andalusia region during Christmas. Very late in planning but still early stages & keeping options open.
We have around 11-12 days (from around 19th December) & want to ideally base ourselves only in 2 cities- thinking Seville & Malaga. Is that sensible? I do understand that distances in this region are not much but ideally we don't want to change hotels too often but do understand that this may not be the best use of time. Most itineraries I have researched suggest 4 days in Seville & then driving/ trains to Cordoba, Granada & Malaga with 2-3 days in each place. Is this still the suggestion? Any alternate ideas/ thoughts are most welcome.
Also, happy to consider thoughts on recommendations against visiting this region during this time & why? I do hear places are shut on 24, 25, 31 &1 but we don't mind a slow paced trip as long as we can still aimlessly stroll around. :)
Thank you!
P.S- 1) We do plan to take day trips from the bases + we like slower pace of travel.
2) Want a mix of history + coast (but open to only coast ideas also thinking- Malaga, Estepona, Cadiz)
