I'd love suggestions for places to stay in both cities. We're at the end of an 8 week trip, starting in mid-February and ending in early April and I've booked all but Zaragoza and Valencia. I'm trying to avoid Airbnb even though I really prefer it. I've found a couple of apartment hotels that look good but we're open to hotels that have a sitting area as we're staying 5 nights in Zaragoza and 6 in Valencia. Apartments with washers would be best but a hotel near a laundromat is fine. Mostly we just want room to spread out a bit. Bonus points if the hotel/apartments are locally owned, small with great helpful hosts

We spent two nights at Hotel Catalonia el Pilar in Zaragoza this past September and loved it! The hotel is very pretty with a nice breakfast, located on a lovely square, and is walking distance to all the major attractions in Zaragoza. Hotel Catalonia el Pilar is part of a Spanish chain. We joined their rewards program to get the best prices and I think that hotel was the best of the three we stayed at in Spain.
