Madrid Airport Hotel

My Iberia flight was just canceled and I'll need to spend a night in Madrid before my rescheduled flight....what's the best/easiest airport hotel at Madrid airport? I don't' want to go back into Madrid. TIA

I didn’t know the best, but the Madrid Airport Hilton has to be one of the worst. Avoid it if you can.

Extremely loud in rooms when anything, wedding, convention, etc is going on their convention facilities. See through glass bathrooms ( may not be an issue if you are solo), and no attempt at customer service. If you weren’t there as part of their conference services, you didn’t seem to exist as a customer.

Well I came to offer a completely different experience to Carol now retired - so it may be luck of the draw. I stayed a night at the Madrid Airport Hilton and had a great, quiet room. The shuttle was timely and easy. I didn’t try their breakfast. I WAS solo and trying to remember the bathroom - but I am pretty sure mine was not glass open to the room (I DID have a room like this at Haneda Airport).

We also had a good experience at the Madrid airport Hilton. Maybe you could request a quiet room. Our room was huge and did have clear glass but it wasn’t an issue. Definitely nice to stay close to the airport and catch their shuttle.

Not five star..but, Hostal Viky (https://hostal-viky.com/en/) has been my Madrid Airport overnight stay a few times. It’s in old Barajas (approximately 7 miles from airport). Has 24 hour shuttle service to/from airport. Let desk know of your shuttle needs.
Clean, simple place. I stay there night before flight. It’s in old town Barajas. So can walk to restaurants, cafes, stores, etc. Rode metro from Madrid. Short walk to Hostal. Next morning caught their airport (free) shuttle.
It’s a hotel. So don’t be thinking of a shared dorm place 😊

I also had a great experience at Hilton Madrid. Shuttle was fast and driver was the best. I arrived 8pm on a Friday and shuttle was empty. Quick check-in.
I did have the glass bathroom but the room was so large and I was alone so not an issue. It was enclosed glass and someone on bed could see person in bathroom by sink. But if I remember correctly, toilet and shower were in separate compartments and have some privacy. But I see why may not work if sharing room with a friend.

Very modern. I didn't have issues with noise.
I must say it was the best hotel breakfast I’ve had in years!
