My husband and I are planning our 10 year anniversary and would like to stay at a luxury resort in Barcelona (with rooftop bar (or at least exceptional cocktail bar), pool and centrally located for walking everywhere are our 3 must haves). Any recommendations for us? We are planning to go early May. TIA!
I venture to guess many in this forum aren't luxury resort folk, including myself, but you might try checking Booking.com since you can filter out properties by amenities (pool, restaurant), location, and reviews. A quick search found 28 properties classified as "wonderful" by reviewers that have stayed at the property and have a pool and restaurant.
consider Hotel Midmost - a boutique hotel - we stayed here while on a Spain My Way tour in 2019 before covid and found it to be very nice (classy and nicest on our tour) - convenient walking and metro (close to Catalunya and Universitat) - very nice rooms and small pool and bar on the rooftop. If we return to Barcelona, we'll definitely stay here again.
We stayed at the Gallery Hotel in the Eixample district in 2019. Rooftop bar, rooftop pool and very good restaurant. Well located. https://www.galleryhotel.com/en
Review Conde Nast Traveler website.
My husband and I stayed at Yurbban Trafalgar Hotel in July and loved it! I believe it's recommended by Rick as well. Great rooftop pool with amazing views, rooftop bar, great location. Our room was exceptionally quiet. And one of our favorite parts was the free hour (5-6 pm) of an assortment of wines and high quality cheese every day! We'd go down for "happy hour" every evening just prior to heading out for a leisurely stroll before dinner. Highly recommend, check out reviews on Tripadvisor. https://www.yurbbantrafalgar.com/
You should check out the 4 star Hotel 1898. It is centrally located on La Rambla. They have a rooftop pool and bar with nice views. The best part is their underground heated grotto pool with jacuzzi jets plus steam room and sauna. Double pane windows keep out the street noise.

Thank you all!!! Greatly appreciate it!!!
If a pool is important, make sure it is open during the time of your visit.
My wife and I stayed at the downtown Barcelona Renaissance on Pau Claris last fall. Very central location for walking, near restaurants, sights and the metro. Roof-top bar and plunge pool.

Lola, that is my kind of place! 🍷 🧀 ❤️
A few years ago, we stayed at the Majestic Hotel and Spa in the Eixample area on Passig de Gracie. Very good location and a nice rooftop bar. Food is served. It might be tapas only, I don’t remember. There is a pool and I think it is up there. You could check its website.
