I am traveling to Barcelona with my 19 yr old granddaughter, and would like to know good area to stay in. I do have Marriott points, so if anyone knows a hotel connected with them, that would be great.
Thank you in advance!

I've stayed at Raco del Pi on two different visits to Barcelona (2016 and 2018). It is in the Barri Gòtic. The hotel is well located, and my husband and I experienced no issues during either stay. I would definitely stay there again.
Unfortunately, I don't know of any Marriott properties.
hey hey lwbeachgirl
i would move this topic into the spain forum.
what are your dates, budget in euros two beds or double bed and the amenities you are wanting/hoping for? barcelona is always busy and crowded, very popular making hotel rates high especially on weekends with supply and demand, what type of events are happening, how many cruise ships are in port creating thousands of passengers and crew in port.
cruisemapper.com
click ports, type in barcelona and look at date for the monts will tell you how many ships in ports (scrolling down will show how many on ship)
restaurants will be busy, some want reservations, lines out the door, check the hours open since many eat later than we do in USA or Canada, some close afternoons till evening. we walked & roamed down side streets to mom & pop places to get away from the crowds or further outside of barcelona. happy travelers & enjoy
aloha
