Hotel Recommendations in Malaga

I'm looking for hotel recommendations in Malaga and also wondering if two nights and a day and half is enough time to spend in Malaga.

I usually don't stay at chain hotels but this place has everything going for it - location, amenities, style, price, service:

I wouldn't eat there, though, since there is so much choice for dining.
It's right on the plaza but the windows seal the noise out.
Note that the reception is not on the ground floor.

We've been through Malaga a couple of times on transatlantic cruises. We found the coastline to be a sea of condos and high rise apartments. You should find Air BnB's there.

Malaga is a very congested place however.

Malaga city is really worth visiting. The coast around is very developed for mass tourism and a lot of it is pretty ugly, but the actual city is very charming.

We love Malaga and stay 4-8 weeks in AirBNB's over the winter. There is plenty to see and it has also good train/bus connections.
We have never stayed in a hotel in Malaga, but there are hotels by the dry river bed close to the City Center along with those in the City Center. We feel the city is big enough to absorb a large number of people without it feeling congested though cruise ships may make for temporary day time congestion. Enjoy your stay!
Fully agree with Helen's post!

We stayed in Hotel Molina Lario and enjoyed it. It was more modern but felt like a nice break from our typically historic, smaller places we stayed in Seville, Ronda and Granada. Had terrific air conditioning!

Yes, two nights is perfect. The city is interesting but a far cry away from the fabulous sights in Granada, Cordoba, and Seville. But an enjoyable place to wander. Shopping is nice and there's a Picasso museum in town, although we skipped it. We actually took a day trip to Cordoba and just basically slept here on our way to Granada. But still spent a half day and enjoyable evening here.

The Picasso museum in Malaga is truly a gem -- worth several hours at least. It's at least as good as the one in Antibes.
