We're traveling in September and need a hotel in Malaga the night before we fly out. I'd like to find a small hotel that has an elevator and is in a fun, pedestrian area. Any suggestions?
For years I stayed at the |Hotel Don Curro. Three stars, just off the Calle Larios (ie very central). Very Spanish - ie "a bit brown".
Good breakfast. Valet parking, if you have a car - they take the car away from outside the hotel and return it when you need it.
For convenience and value for money, I'd always stay there.
For convenience travelling to the airport, the Barcelo Malaga, very smart and part of the train station. 5 euros taxi to centre for dinner.
We had a great stay at Graffiti Suites/El Museo just a few weeks ago. We caught a taxi to the airport very nearby or the hotel can arrange a driver. There is an elevator and many of the rooms have kitchenettes. It's near restaurants but check the location on Google Maps to see if it's in an area that you like...it's a bit of a walk from the main square and may not be what you're looking for a one night stay. Also, it's not near the sea...
While you're in Malaga, El Pimpi is a great place for seafood and salads!
Thank you, Lin and Marci,
I will check out your suggestions.
