My wife and I spent four nights at the Hotel Anacapri which we booked one year early,we were put in room #1 which is below ground with a lite well for lite,like a dungeon.There was a Rick Steves tour staying there so I guess they got to look out of the windows above ground.The hotel has a great location and Kathy at the front desk made our stay there tolerable,she was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Our stay was in October.

Reading between the lines, I think you are NOT recommending this hotel. Below ground sounds like it would be far-from-the-best room there.

Hi Swan,
It is a shame that when you book a year ahead that you get sent to the Dungeon,I have to believe that the Rick Steves tour got the rooms on the upper floors because that is where I saw them coming from for breakfast.Had I known this I would have booked elsewhere.
