Located in the Eixample district. This area reminds us much of Paris as it is a mix of residential and commercial, with very wide streets mostly lined with parks and small neighborhood playgrounds. It has a very nice feel to it.
Granados 83 is a clean and thoroughly modern hotel just far enough from the chaos of the main tourist areas to afford calm. Fifteen minute walk down the tree lined streets and you are in the midst of Barri Gotic, or perhaps strolling to The Palau de la Música Catalana, or even magnificent la Boqueria.
Granados 83 feels more like a condo in the City than a hotel. A great rooftop bar compliments a day of exploration - and Barcelona is for exploration.
The staff was exceptional, the optional buffet breakfast was convenient and delicious. We walked mostly, but a cab was never more than a few minutes away.
It is not a raucous place, not a party place - but neither is it a big, indifferent cement box. It feels alive.
Highly recommended. We're middle aged, felt at home, quite safe yet connected to the City.
