From Laguardia to Barcelona

We (two couples) will rent a car in San Sebastian, spend Sept. 24, 25 nights in Laguardia, and then drive to Barcelona, arriving by afternoon on Sept. 27. Any suggestions for good prices on rental cars? Also, on the drive, are there highlights along the way that we should visit.

I was wondering when NYC's LaGuardia got nonstop service to Barcelona & who flew it!! Their runways are too short for nonstops to California let alone Spain. :-)

I had the same reaction as Continental. Nice clickbait technique! ;-)

Try Auto Europe to search car rental options. They should have the choices available to you, which you can book directly with the rental company or through US-based Auto Europe. I've used them and they have a good reputation, and potentially can save money vs. booking direct. I've had to make changes after booking and they've been very flexible.

To me the obvious stopping point would be Zaragoza. Nice historic area and the Aljaferia, a lovely Moorish palace. Zaragoza gets blazing hot in the summer; the weather's not at all like San Sebastian's. I haven't checked the stats, but I suspect there's a substantial risk of very hot days even in September.
