Hi...we will be in Barcelona this fall. I have read great things about both areas with regards to Hotel & Restaurants. Two adults for three (3) nights. I guess we could do a hotel in both, but then there is the unpacking/packing scenario.

You can find great restaurants that match your taste and mood anywhere if you hunt well, but overall I would say that Eixample dining is not as good as other neighborhoods in Barcelona.
Stay in Eixample and go to various areas for dining , including Eixample!
a friend of mine loved Suite Centers Barcelona in the Eixample area. This is a B&B but it is also attached to a hotel. She said that it is pricy.
We loved staying in the Eixample area. It's lovely and stylish, and we walked everywhere from there. Easy to get to restaurants all over the city.

We have stayed there twice now. It's great and being able to use the pool and gym and get room service from Hotel Casa Fuster is a bonus.
