Apartment recommendations for Barcelona for 3 days

Any recommendations for a Barcelona apartment for 4 adult seniors wanted. Would like A/C, wifi and elevator or not more than 1 flight of stairs. Neighborhoods of Barri Gotic, El Born, and El Raval preferred. We are budget or mid-price travelers. I have tried a few of Rick's recommended apartment sites, but it seems some of them don't book any later than the end of December and we are looking for late May reservations. I am emailing a few sites directly.
It would be great to find someplace with character or a small hotel that has something like this. Any ideas?

Look at these apartments located near La Sagrada Familia: We enjoyed staying there. There is a concierge in the lobby. Two BR, 2 bath, balcony, kitchen, w/d.

See Booking.com

We were in an apartment 3/4 mile west of Segura Familia--2 underground stops. Unfortunately I forget the name, however it and many others are on Booking.com.

I believe there are parts of El Raval you would find too rough-looking, but I'll yield to the opinions of our Barcelona residents.

Thank you for your responses. Hispanos7Suizos won't allow booking after December, as I have found with others. I'm also checking Booking.com which I like better than VRBO, as you can ask questions directly to the property owner, which you can't with some other sites.
I was hoping to find something in the old city. Thank you for the tip about El Raval area, as I was looking at geography only.

I used Casp74 in March and was very happy. While apartments, they have a 24 hr staffed office. But it looks like so far they are only booking through the end of April.

We two seniors just spent six nights in the Suites Center Barcelona apartments in Passeig de Gracia. Loved our apartment. We had an elevator, wifi, and very easy access to a metro station (100 metres away).

The area we stayed in was relatively quiet as it is on the edge of the tourist areas. We had some nice tapas at local restaurants and really enjoyed two lunches in the cafeteria on level 9 of the El Cortez Ingles department store overlooking Plaza Catalunya.
