We are planning to go to Barcelona OCT 20-29 and want to know suggestions to make this a great trip. Want to be closer to town and port obviously so help on staying close so we can walk it.
Don't plan on leaving the area as the city as so much to do even it does rain and the race gets cancelled for the day. Will be flying out of Savannah Ga and returning there as well. Any help would be great..

Both the America’s Cup teams and the America’s Cup Village will be based in the Port Vell (“Old Port”) area of Barcelona’s waterfront. The “Barceloneta” neighborhood is very close to Port Vell. Other neighborhoods that are close to Port Vell include El Poble-Sec, Sant Antoni, La Ribera and Santa Catarina “La Rambla I Drassanes” Metro station is the closest metro station to Port Vell.
