Why Predjama Castle first?

I wonder why it is recommended in their website to visit Predjama Castle first? Postojna has a schedule tour to catch and I prefer to do the scheduled tour first then roam free in Predjama Castle afterwards without having to look at the time for the tour.
I also want to leave my luggages with them which the Postojna Cave are willing to do that. I wonder if Predjama ticket office could do the same.

Also, in the end of Postojna Cave tour, could you see the olm? or you could only see them in the Vivarium? I read reviews that at the end of the Cave tour, inside the cave the guide pointed out to olms??

Not sure why they recommended first. I was on a tour and we did cave first, castle second and I didn’t see any challenges with that order.

I think the reason might be to avoid traffics with tour groups altogether since majority of the tour groups are in the morning sessions. That' the only reason I could think of.

They might also be concerned that you’ll visit the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site Skocjan Caves after the Postojna Cave ( the Skocjan Caves are only 20 miles away) and entirely skip the castle. After all., there’s plenty else to see in Slovenia!
