We're on the BOEE tour that ends in Lake Bled on September 24th of this year. I love mountains, scenery, and easy hiking; but, I don't love scary mountain roads. For those who have driven the Vrsic Pass, are there guardrails, steep drop-off, no shoulders, ex: the kind of road conditions that would make me shut my eyes and miss the entire trip?
For reference, I've been on the Trail Ridge Road in Estes Park, CO and around the perimeter of Naxos, Greece, both of which are my standards of scary roads. I survived, but barely.
So before I start planning and annoying my husband (which will most likely happen), assure me I can do this road. Or not. Either way, I'm grateful for any inside information!
