We are considering a few days in Venice, (or any other suggested places within train/bus/short flight distance,) before starting the RS tour in Llubljana in October. Does anyone have experience with direct bus or train travel from Venice to Llubljana?
Also ending in Dubrovnik, adding extra time after trip ends and would like suggestions of onward travel, or day trips with driver, from there. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!

Check out the bus/transfer called GoOpti (I have not used it but noticed many mentions).
How many days are you extending at the end?

We used GoOpti from the Venice Airport to our hotel in Ljubljana (Hotel Slamič). You can hire a private van or shared van which is what we did. It was a little crowded in the beginning and may not a straight shot to your destination but it was a really good option for us. We also used the service to go from our hotel to the Ljubljana Airport for an early morning flight.

Pre-Covid that is what we used- GoOpti leaves daily from the airport around noon and drops at the train station in Llubljana.

We did this 18 months ago, in the reverse direction. We used Tripstair, which was very easy to book and not expensive at around 30 euro each.

Thank you for all the transportation suggestions.
We will extend an extra day & night in Dubrovnik and can extend more or move on from there. No set return date yet!
