I need to get from Trieste to Koper. I would like to think I can simply take a taxi (it is an 11 mile drive). Has anyone done this?
I have looked at the bus options and understand them.

You can take a taxi. I did it once from Portoroz, which must have been a decision based on bus schedules (e.g. less bus service on Sundays), since I had used a bus on the initial crossing from Italy.

A local bus connects Trieste and Koper and also a ferry in main tourist season.

This all worked out. Took a taxi, cost 42 Euros. No issues. Thanks a bunch for the assurance you provided on this!
