We will have 6 days/nights after our RS Central Europe tour before heading back to the States from Berlin. We're trying to decide whether to split the time equally between Ljubljana and Berlin, or spend more time in one than the other. We're looking forward to exploring Ljubljana at an easy pace, but also want to spend time in Berlin visiting the usual WWII and post-war sites and whatever else may catch our interest and for which there is time. Any advice? TIA.

I spent a week in Berlin and could have easily spent more time.
I visited Ljubljana as part of the RS Adriatic tour. I arrived one day before the tour started and felt that I saw everything I wanted to see in my two full days there.
If it were me, I’d allocate more time to Berlin. However, you might also consider the likelihood (or unlikelihood) of returning to either location.

I have been to both cities and love each. It's a little bit of an apples and oranges question as the two cities are vastly different in size.
Ljubljana is a small but charming. One idea is to split the time there with nearby Lake Bled, which is only about 45 minutes away. Bled is a beautiful Alpine area.
Otherwise, I'd say your plan is a good one: Split your time between the two.

I’d allocate 2/3 of time to Berlin. Spent a week there and still didn’t see everything. I also would go to Potsdam, a charming town and of course the Palace.

I love Ljubljana (spent 5 nights there in 2019), but there is so much to see in Berlin (have spent 60 nights there since 2016). I would stay a night or two in Ljubljana and then head to Berlin.

Interesting that tour ends in Bled. That last night and tour day might be better spent if you’re continuing on. I would split these an even 3/3 nights generally speaking. For all the slow travel talk, these tours have you running pretty hard for two weeks. Personally, I can’t think of a better place than Ljubljana to take a breath. It also packs a solid sightseeing punch if you take the time. Evenings in Ljubljana are solid gold. I wouldn’t short change it.
Berlin is a total contrast. Urban, busy, just a big bustling city. Since you’re flying out of here, take advantage. But I think four nights would be a bit much for me, especially at the tail end of a big trip. Berlin has a lot going on, maybe too much. I wasn’t the biggest fan.

Spent 5 days in Ljubljana in April and loved it. Charming, delightful, compact, lovely.
I took a cruise last month (August) and the port was 3 hours away although the port stop was 12 hours so enough time to get there. I opted out and from sites/places to go/things to see were not enough for me for a 6 hr trip. Too large a city as well. Just my thoughts.

I know a lot of people like Ljubljana, but I think 6 days there would be a lot. We were there for an afternoon during the Best of Central Europe Tour and I felt that was sufficient. It was charming, but not 6 days worth of charming (at least to me). We also visited Berlin for about three days on a different trip and didn’t see everything, not to mention possible day trips.
