Suggestions for Ljubljana sights prior to our RS Best of the Adriatic tour starting

HELP! I’m having travel-planning burnout!

We are arriving in Ljubljana on Friday, May 23 mid-afternoon. That evening, we already have dinner plans. We begin the Best of the Adriatic tour on Sunday, May 25 @ 4pm. I’m looking for suggestions for things to do/see in Ljubljana prior to our tour starting that are not included in our full day with the RS tour guide on Monday, May 26. We have all day Saturday and most of Sunday on our own. I was hoping maybe someone who has been on this same tour before could share suggestions of what they did or would have liked to have done prior to their tour starting. We are familiar with the Škocjan Caves, but we will not be touring them.

My husband and I are also on the Best of the Adriatic tour starting on May 25. We stayed in Ljubljana a few years ago after the Central Europe tour and it's a lovely city. We enjoyed the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum and the views of the city from Ljubljana Castle during that stay. On this visit we're hoping to tour Joze Plecnik House.

I did the tour referred to in the first reply. It was great. Pick up was about 1 block from our tour hotel at that time.
