We took a day trip over the Vrsic pass with Alenka Kreacic as guide and driver. Highly recommended. Good English, safe driver, knowledgeable, accommodated our needs and wishes. She is also a mountain guide, hiking guide and ski instructor. Picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in Ljubljana. [email protected]
We took a taxi from Piran to Ljubljana, stopping at skocjan caves for a couple of hours. (BTW, a highlight of the trip.) Cvetko Ipavec runs the taxi company, (http://www.taxi-piraneze.si/) recommended by our hotel, and was supposed to be the driver, but couldn’t that day, so worked hard to find us another driver: [email protected]. Very highly recommended. Picked us up, made sure we were in the right place for entry to caves, waited for us, found us on exit to caves, drove us to our hotel. Good English, good driver, pleasant, knows workarounds when traffic is bad, took good care of us.
