We will be in the Soca area for a day or two, the Soca River looks beautiful and we are looking for an entry point or certain stretch of the valley that we should hike for 2-5 hrs? What transportation would you suggest for getting back to entry point, Uber? Also any other recommendations for sites or food in the area are always greatly appreciated!

I recommend the area around Trenta, where the gorge is located too. You would have to arrange a private transfer or catch one of the few buses running in the high season. Uber is not present in Slovenia and do not depend on taxis being readily available, it is a rural area, so prearrange one.
