Slovenia - Venice - Istria

Seeking itinerary advice:

We are a family of five (kids 15, 12, 8). We have 8-9 days in late June, and traveling by car.
We depart from Budapest and we must end the trip in Istria (Rovinj).
We would like the trip to take us west through Slovenia (Bled, etc), ultimately to Venice, then turn back east to finish in Rovinj.

Current idea:

Travel from Budapest to Bled
+4 nights in Bled area (visit Bohinj, Triglav Park, Soca river, Vintgar Gorge, Ljubljana)
Travel to Venice (stopping to see Predjama/Postojna on the way)
+3 nights in Venice
Travel to Piran
+2 nights in Piran (visit Trieste/Koper also)
Travel on to Rovinj

Any suggestions? Anything I am missing? Thanks for advice!

" Travel to Piran +2 nights in Piran (visit Trieste/Koper also) "

So is the Trieste "yeah, we've been there" day, part of one of your Travel days?

2 nights in Piran = 1 FULL day ... seems like a whole lot going on in such a small window of time!

Concerning Venice, parking might be an issue. If you want to park at Piazzale Roma you need to book it well in advance.
Other options would be to leave the car in Mestre and take the tram or train or park at Venice Airport and take the boat to Venice.
Another option would be to drive to Punta Sabbioni (via Lido di Jesolo), park the car there and take the boat to Venice. And you could explore for some hours the flat sandy beaches there.
Between Venice and Triest a worthwhile stop would be Palmanova http://www.palmanova.travel/index.php and/or Aquileia https://www.fondazioneaquileia.it/en/must-see.
