Slovenia in January

Hi,

I'm looking to travel for about 2 weeks in late Jan. Would be interested if anyone had any recommendations for that time of the year?
I'm currently looking at
- Lubljana
- Bled
- Ptuj
- Lake Bojinj
- Soca Valley
but am open to other spots

If anyone has any recommendations for wine or wine visiting/tasting let me know.

thanks in advance!

Are you planning to do winter sports? If not, I don’t think you’ll get very far in many of these places in January.

Hi Emily,

I'm already skiing earlier in the trip so wasn't planning on doing that, but would be interested in snow walking and cross-country skiing.

What do you mean by I wouldn't get far in those places?

Thanks

Lake Bohinj, Bled, Soca Valley are all about hiking and exploring off road. You don’t go to these areas for museums. In the winter season, plan on a lot of snow walking and snow shoeing, which might not be what you had in mind. In these areas, the focus is on winter sports in the winter.
