For an almost 3 week trip, 2 retired couples are planning to fly into Ljubljana for 2 nights.
We prefer 2 bdrm/2bath apartment when possible.
Then, get a car, drive to Lake Bled-3 nights.
Drive to Brunico/Dolomites-5 nights.
Drive to Rovinj, Croatia- 5 nights.
Back to Ljubljana for 1 or 2 nights.
Comments and suggestions are requested.
Especially where to stay in Dolomites, and should we stay one night enroute between Dolomites and Rovinj? Should we stay a night or two in Croatia hill town versus all in Rovinj?
Thanks!
Dolomites: We enjoyed Ortisei and our stay at Hotel Grones.
Ljubljana Airport is half-way between Ljubljana and Lake Bled. So, it might make more sense for you to drive directly to Lake Bled when you land in Ljubljana, and begin your trip there. Save Ljubljana for the end of your trip, and spend 3 or 4 nights there. By doing this, you eliminate one hotel change.
