Hi all, I am considering to do a travel trip in Slovenia and Croatia without layover at Istanbul. I am coming from Singapore. I was just wondering if there is a better way of going directly to a neighbouring country and probably spend a day or two before taking bus/train from that country to Slovenia/Croatia?

Venice, Italy is 3.5 hours by public bus or a 2.5-hour drive from the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana.

We are flying into Venice in May, and from there we will head to Lake Bled; there are multiple public transportation options to Slovenia and Croatia from Venice.
