We are anticipating flying to Milan, Italy. From there we want to rent a car and drive the eastern Adriatic coast and end up in Athens, Greece. This is appearing to not be as easy as we anticipated.
Has anyone done this? If so, can you offer info on problems encountered making border crossings? Suggestions about renting a car in Italy and leaving it in Greece? However, this seems to be very expensive to the point of not being feasible.
Also, what other tips or suggestions might you make?
