Any recommendations in Ljubljana to enjoy before our Rick Steves tour?
There is an Open Market in Ljubljana and as part of that there is an event called Open Kitchen. There are dozens of booths offering food (and great beer!). You should see it. Here is some background: https://www.visitljubljana.com/en/poi/central-market/.
It is a great scene. Hundreds of people were eating. I was in Ljubljana in October 2022.

Hope this isn't too late, you don’t say your travel dates. We loved Cevabdzinica Sarajevo '84 in Nazorjeva Ulica. Never had such good pita bread. Across the river, good food at Gostilna Sokol. There was a burger festival going on while we were there too, so tempting, but we had good burgers at the Union brewery. Not to mention great beer.
I have really enjoyed Slovenska Hiša - Figovec. It’s a little out of the center, though a stone’s throw from Slamic B&B, where I stayed. Very good food and nice ambience. Don’t expect fast service.
