Rent a scooter in Ljublana?

Hi. I'm going to be staying in Ljubljana for l from 20-25 June. I was thinking of renting a Scooter for 3 days to drive to bovec (staying for 2 nights) bled (1 night) and bohinj. Would you recommend it? I'm not too good with cars and enjoy riding scooters?

If not scooter, how would I go about using trains/buses?

Is there a place I can rent a go pro for less than 50€ for 3-4 days in Slovenia? Would love to use it while canyoning/driving?

Also, what happens on the 25th (Slovenia day)? I'm scheduled to go to Maribor that day.

Would you also recommend buying Lent festival tickets in advance? I've no clue how to go about the tickets.

Thank you!

Are you an experienced scooter driver? Do you have a motorcycle endorsement on your driver's license? If you answer no to either question, then you need another option. What does "not too good with cars" mean? Go Pro can be pretty cheap especially if on sale. Just buy one now so you will have it for future trips.

Hi, yes to both. I commute to work everyday on a scooter (12km one way). I haven't really driven a car more than 5-6 times in my life, so I'd rather not rent one. But I want the convenience of having my own vehicle.

I strongly recommend you check out the distances throughout your itinerary. Use Google Maps and its Street View feature to get an idea of the roads involved. If you want to use a scooter simply to get from point A to point B, don't do it, opt for a car or use public transport. If driving is the experience you are after, then go for a motorcycle, not a 50cc scooter. Don't forget that Alpine weather is unstable, you can easily experience sunny skies and then once you cross the summit of a mountain pass end up in torrential rain or a thunderstorm. With only 4 days, you won't have time to adjust your itinerary to the weather.
