We do a lot of hiking in CO with kids (8+ miles). is there a recommended hike for kids in the Julian Alps? We will have a car. What is the best way to reserve a hut? If all huts will be full already, are there recommended day hikes? Also wondering if a rain jacket and thin fleece will be sufficient for warmth? We are trying to pack super light, but I am not sure if the mountains there can get as cold as the Rockies in the summer. We will be there in early July.
