We had a fantastic day with Tina Hiti on a day trip to the Julian Alps suggested in the Lake Bled section in Ricks book. It was the best day of our trip and worth every cent. She was extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful and wonderful to spend a day with. The scenery, the history and the picnic by the river whew awesome. Much better then a bus or driving yourself

Hello Judie. Would you tell me how much it cost and how long was your tour? Also what did you see. I'm going next year (exactly one year from today!!) and looking at my options and what I'd like to see before my tour stats. Thank you.

Ciao. Tina, our guide picked us up at our pension in Lake Bled and drove us to a supermarket on the way to the Alps because it was a beautiful day and we opted for a picnic lunch instead of going to a restaurant. The drive was spectacular and included stopping in a couple villages and hearing about life in present day Slovenia. The drive up into the Alps was amazing and everything the Alps promises. Tina told us about this area interesting history which we wouldn't have gotten if we drove ourselves. She drove us to our hotel in Ljubljana at the end. The whole day was about 10 hours. It cost 23o euros plus a tip and well worth it not to have to rent a car and drive in the mountainous terrain plus we had our transfer from Lake Bled to Ljubljana. This was the first time we hired a private guide because we are pretty knowledgeable travelers and careful with our travel money but I was more then worth the money. You won't be disappointed
