Having a last minute panic about the parking in Slovenia.
When travelling overseas we only use WiFi for data access and use offline Maps.Me (and a physical road map) for navigation when driving.
Do we need to download and use EasyPark to pay for parking? That would mean purchasing an e-sim which we have no understanding of… (two tech challenged 70 year olds here…)
Can we just use a credit card or coins to pay for parking?
It might help, while in Croatia we used a credit card to pay for parking. The systems may be similar. We could even pay for any tolls with just our credit card and a tap.
We’ve driven through Slovenia on our way to Italy and we tapped our entire way. Don’t forget your vignette for the highway. On Backroads it isn’t needed. You can get it online.
We used EasyPark several times in Slovenia and I am almost certain that was the only method available for parking in those lots. Our rental agency included the vignette with the car, but otherwise I believe you would need data for that as well.
We find it easiest to add international data to one of our phones for the time we are traveling.
