Logarska dolina vs velika planina

Hi, last day in Ljubljana tomorrow. We have seen the city ( and plan to have a last dinner there) , Ptuj, Bohinj, Bled and the coast 2 weeks ago.

We ( 2 adults and 2 kids)are debatting between doing the cable car ride to Velika Planina or going with the car to Logarska Dolina. We will make the Vrsic pass wednesday before headin to the Dolomites for one week.

What would you do ?

Hi. I can't help with your decision because I haven't been there yet. :) But I hope you don't mind me asking, since we are considering a trip to Slovenia and could really use your input: Which places were your favorites? How much time did you spend in each place and was it about the right amount? What advice do you have / what would you do differently based on your experience? Thanks!
