I've heard great things about the Logar Valley (Logarska Dolina) and the Panoramic Road (Panoramska Cesta), which is on the border between northern Slovenia and Austria. I don't want to rent a car but I also prefer not to take local bus transportation which I've read is difficult to use to reach this area. Are there any good day-trips that go from Ljubljana or Bled to the Logar Valley? I may be traveling alone or with three others in late May or early June 2022.

I cannot vouch for the companies above. I can vouch for Slovenia Guides, which I used. They offer a "Full Day Your Way" tour which is a Choose Your Own Adventure day trip. It's a little more expensive than the above googled tours. https://www.sloveniaguides.si/en/day-tours/full-day-your-way

If you were to choose to stay in the Logar Valley (highly recommended by me), I can also vouch for Mojca, an excellent Logar Valley guide/native who can drive you along the panoramic road. She has great stories. She scored us an invitation to have blueberry schnapps and fudge with a local farmer and his wife (followed by a visit to their bee house). Great food. Nice short hikes. And we finished the day at her home, where I met her parents and her 14-year-old brother. I would say more a local experience than a tour, for those who desire such things 🙂.
