Anyone know the best was to go from Ljubljana to Verona? We are finding buses that leave at 4:30 am, but having a tough time finding a train. Any experiences would be appreciated.

There are two options, essentially. One is to find a train connection through the bahn.de website that was posted in the previous reply. Note that the first leg to Trieste is on a bus run in cooperation with the Slovenian Railways, so a train ticket will be valid on it. From Trieste there are plenty of trains running to Verona through Venice.
The other option is booking a shuttle transfer to Venice and then take the train or straight to Verona.
If you are looking for a direct bus connection, there may not be one directly to Verona, you may have to transfer in Venice.
