We fly in 9pm on a Sunday and wondering if there are reliable ATMS at the airport so we can get some euros. Also, will taxis take payment with credit card or want cash?
Any thoughts? It is our first time to Slovenia.

We always travel with local currency, rather than try and find it on arrival. It it more expensive than getting it at an ATM,
.
You can pay the taxi (and honestly most other things) by credit card. Slovenia is solidly European with tap-to-pay being common. Still, having cash is cool and handy. I’m assuming you’re going to Ljubljana, I’d wait until you get into town and look for a bank ATM. Retail ATMs like EuroNet and such you’ll find in places like airports and train stations are total ripoffs. I never buy Euros before a trip in the states anymore. It’s actually crazy expensive buying hard Euro currency in the US versus Europe.
We booked Go-Opti shuttle from the airport to Ljubljana, so we had already paid by credit card. They offer private car service and shared van service.
Second recommendation for the Go Opti shuttle from the airport. We found a lot of ATM/cash machine options walking around Ljubljana.
