A few years ago, we took the train from Lake Bled to Vienna and it was great. Well, actually we had to change trains in Salzburg due to some track problems, but it was still easy.

Train. 10:03 am looks like the best departure, getting there at 3:35 pm.

And that route is stunningly beautiful as it approaches the Alps from Slovenia then descends into Austria.

Easy by train. Use the OBB website to check routes and times. Make sure you choose the right station in Bled (Lesce Bled, not Bled Jerezo) and search for Wien (not Vienna). It is beautiful scenery along the way.

We have the same issue. RS tour ends in Lake Bled. Another poster had mentioned go opti awhile back. We are thinking of getting a car vs dealing with train. We are staying near Vienna airport departing the next day. After RS tour ends. I’m trying to reduce layers of complexity. I’d rather go door to door and not stress out.
Has anyone had recent experience with Go opti?
