Lake Bled accommodation suggestion

Hotel Triglav Bled is on the west side of the lake, away from the town area. It's
above the lake level, and the dining room does have a great view of the lake
pretty much looking at the church. I did not eat dinner at the restaurant,
but it is supposed to be excellent. Might be useful to have a car, although it is
walking distance from the Jezero railroad station.

Thats the one I was thinkng about too. Its near the train station .... which in this case might be good .... or bad??? Dont know.

The side of the hotel that faces the lake does not face the railroad station. I'd
request/reserve a room that faces the lake.

I could be wrong on this, but I don't think there are that many trains that come through
that line/station. So noise is probably not a factor. I was only there one night, but train
noise never bothered me.

shoeflyer, I just pointed it out. I am not really worried about it. Sort of like the fact that its that easy.

We stayed at Hotel Triglav for four nights in September 2024. Great accommodations!!! Our room had a balcony overlooking the lake w/ fabulous views of the island & chapel. Breakfasts were wonderful ........ cooked to order. It is on the opposite side of the lake, but we enjoyed being away from the touristy aspect of Bled central. It was an easy walk to town center. We saw the train tracks just outside the front door, but never saw or heard a train pass through. We chose to dine in Bled.

I stayed at Mayer Penzion which I loved. It is a small, family-owned hotel and off the main crowded area. My room had a terrific view of the castle and lake at night; the best breakfast I had on the trip; and free bikes for guest use - I went all around the lake via bike and it was beautiful. The staff was friendly and informative and it was just a few blocks to the downtown area with shops and restaurants and the lake. For what it's worth ........... This was our favorite restaurant in Bled central; Oštarija Peglez'n. Fabulous seafood, pasta & more. Recommended by the parking lot attendant just above the restaurant. How good you ask ...... we ate there 3 times over 4 1/2 days. They recommended an Italian restaurant just north of Bled central and it was outstanding as well. Several big restaurants in Bled central w/ lots of tour bus people. Both of these were small & quaint.
