I have been looking at travel options to go from Lake Bled to Vienna at the end of our tour. It looks like using Daytrip would be cheaper and more convenient than taking the train. Has anyone used this service? Are they reliable? Their reviews look excellent. Thanks in advance for any feedback or advice.
Never heard of them. I'll bet GoOpti (which I've not used but have heard good things about) is probably cheaper.
I see there is a one connection train that takes about 6.5 hours (at least in September). I like trains and I'm frugal, so I might go for that myself. Or a FlixBus that takes about five hours.
But if I wanted to get there fast, I'd probably take a direct flight from Ljubljana to Vienna with Adria Airways.
We used Daytrip to travel from Ljubljana to Budapest last year and were very satisfied. I had contacted Go Opti and they never replied to my email. Daytrip was actually a little cheaper. The driver was polite, English speaking, and very interesting as well. This was by far the fastest and most convenient solution for our journey.
Thanks for your feedback. For 2 people, Daytrip looks to be faster and less expensive than the train. They also take you door to door from and to your hotels. You don't have to pay in advance, if you pay the driver in cash. Looks like a good option.
