Heading to Slovenia first week of September and basing ourselves in an Airbnb in Ljubljana for a week and doing day trips around Slovenia with a rental car. Trying to decide if the Ljubljana Card the tourism office offers is worth it? Anyone had experience with this? Thanks.
I was just researching this and wondering the same thing. It seems to be decent value, but I would love others' feedback.
Just got back from Ljubljana. This card is kind of like a gym membership. If you really use it, it will be worth it. Walking tours and boat rides are typically 15€, didn’t go up to the castle this time but I know that’s not cheap. If you did all three of these you’re about there. That’s also a full day. I think the value would maybe start to show if you got the 72hr one, but 24hr pass is kinda worthless. The transportation benefits are limited. Most useful might be the city bike, but idk when you’d use the bus. Ljubljana is so eminently walkable and such a joy to walk through that getting anywhere faster isn’t always what you want.
Also, imo you can totally skip the boat ride. You just don’t see much. It’s much more enjoyable to walk the riverfront than to be on it.
