I'll be traveling to Slovenia in June and I'm getting some conflicting information on the best way to
get from the airport to the city centre.
I'd love input from anyone!

I found this link about transportation from the airport to the city. I did not look at it in depth but it looked like it may be helpful. We were in Ljubljana a few years ago and booked a shuttle van thru our hotel when we booked the hotel, the Pri Mraku.
I used MNJ transfers. I think I found them based on reviews on TripAdvisor but I'm not positive. I prepaid and the driver was waiting for me outside baggage claim. No muss no fuss, worked fine. Dropped us off right at the hotel. €29 two years ago.
There is only one bus that goes from the airport to Ljubljana. It goes to the main bus station, which is a 15-minute walk to the old town. If your hotel is that close to the castle, it's likely in the pedestrian zone, so a taxi will only be able to get you within a couple of blocks of the hotel, ditto for the shuttle transfer.
In any case, I second the recommendation for a shuttle transfer. It's much cheaper than a taxi at the airport and it will get you to your hotel (or close to it) faster than the bus, which takes the "scenic route".
EDIT: I just realised - 0.01 miles is 50 feet. No hotel is that close to the castle. Did you mean 0.1 miles or is there an error with the location?
