Hotels in Ljubljana

We stayed 3 nights at the Best Western Premier Hotel Slon in Ljubljana in September 2024. It is right on the edge of the car free downtown section of this beautiful city. Beautiful corner room, great service and the most extensive breakfast buffet you'll find anywhere. Valet parking is also available. We would return without hesitation. And yes an elevator in available.

I also loved Hotel Slon - that breakfast buffet is amazing! And the hotel is in a great location.

Add me to the Hotel Slon list. We stayed there last month and it was very nice. The breakfast buffet is huge. There is a great restaurant called 1776 just down the block from the hotel and they have excellent food if you are looking for a fantastic dinner location. The historic area is walkable from the Hotel Slon. Enjoy your trip.

I’ve only stayed at one hotel, and that was on the RS Best of the Adriatic tour. We stayed at Hotel Mrak. It was fine, and the breakfast staff young ladies were nice. I stayed there an extra day pre-tour. I would ask them to teach me a new word each day, and the next morning at breakfast, I would use that word, and they’d smile.

We stayed at the City Hotel in Ljubljana and were very happy with our stay. It's a business hotel and is very well located. About a 5-minute walk to Preseren Square. Our room rate included a huge breakfast buffet.

Just returned from Ljubljana last month. We stay at Four Points, which is a Marriott brand and it had a hotel. It was very conveniently located off the highway for easy access to Lake Bled and was only about 5 minutes away from downtown Ljubljana. We had a car so this only works with wheels but if that is your plan, then this place worked great for us.

We have been to Ljubljana three times and have stay at Hotel Mrak each time. It is near the southern end of the Old Town and only a few blocks back from the water. It has a good breakfast and we have always enjoyed staying there. We spent four nights there this past April.

Siteseer, BW Slon Hotel is very accessible by taxi, rental car or public transportation. Its location is right on the edge of the car free zone.

We stayed at Hotel Mrak for three nights in 2024. It was a good location for us, and it does have an elevator.

We stayed at a VRBO just last month. It was in the pedestrian zone. It was a five minute walk in multiple directions to pickup points at the edge of the pedestrian zone. Has an elevator and washer/dyer combo. Lidl's is 5 minute walk where we bought our breakfast needs. If you are spending a few days in Ljubljana, be sure to pick up a Ljubljana Card at the tourist information office. We definitely got our moneys worth from this card. Also be sure to download the City Taxi app. There is no Uber but City Taxi works the same and you don't have to worry about getting ripped off.
