Looking to have a family trip to Lake Bled in early October 2016. Will be taking train form Vienna, spending two nights in Lake Bled and then renting car for for 1-2 day driving trip in area and ending in Ljubljana.
We have a party of seven older and younger adults. Would appreciate any recommendations for good value three star type hotel that works for this kind of trip

We loved Penzion Berc. You can walk right to the lake to walk and bike around Lake Bled and walk right into the old town. The breakfasts were wonderful and the ambiance and morning German/Slovenian music was great. We thought the location was perfect.
We had a car so we were able to go to Vintgar Gorge - loved it and would definitely suggest going - and drive to numerous hiking trails, including Lake Bohinj and Slap Savica Falls.
we stayed at Mulej Bled tourist farm.....wonderful home like atmosphere.
We stayed at Penzion Mayer and loved it. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was very good. Enjoy your trip, Slovenia is a beautiful country.
