We will be staying in Ljubljana for our last night of vacation -- we have a very early flight out. Any recommendations for hotels?

I stayed downtown and can't provide a personal recommendation, but I checked booking.com and found these two places out toward the airport:
Hotel Actum in Kranj
Penzion Vodnik in Cerklje na Gorenjskem
There doesn't seem to be anything right at the airport, which is about 15 miles from the city.
This web site, for which I cannot vouch, discusses airport transportation options. If you will not be driving to your near-airport hotel, one of the listed companies might be the best way to get there: http://www.ljubljana.info/airport/bus/

Dvor Jezersek in Zgornji Brnik, 4 km from the airport, is a popular option in such cases. Otherwise, it takes just 20 minutes to get from the city centre to the airport in the early morning, before rush hour starts at 7am, so you could also just stay in the city, or alternatively in the city, but somewhere in the northwest, close to the motorway ring, such as M Hotel or Austria Trend. That will only save you about 5 minutes though, Ljubljana is small. A taxi from the city centre to the airport costs around €20-25.

I also had to depart very early from Ljubljana, and used a pre-arranged Shuttle (which arrived, as I recall, at about 04:30). At that time of the morning, there's very little traffic so it's an easy ride to the airport. If you have an early flight, you're going to be awake early anyway.
