I have a 12 day trip to Slovenia planned for this coming July and I am very excited. Thank you to all who have posted here with your advice and trip reports. It has been so helpful in guiding my own trip plans, and I have particularly enjoyed Dave's trip report, thank you Dave! As part of my trip plans, I will be staying at both Tourist Farm Kranjc and Tourist Farm Govc-Virsnik. I didn't commit to half board when I made my reservations. In your experience, how flexible were your hosts for requesting half-board? I don't want to inconvenience my hosts with a last minute request upon arrival, so I was wondering what your own experiences were like? I see that Rick recommends half board for Govc-Virsnik as there isn't much to choose from in that area. If you stayed at either place, did you take half-board or eat elsewhere? Thank you very much in advance!

Thanks for the kind words regarding my trip report! I took the half-board option at Tourist Farm Kranjc and was pleased with it. The food was quite good as I recall, but I'm easy to please!
I did not stay at Govc Vršnik, but I did have a meal there with a guide. Quite amazing traditional Slovenian food. One of the best meals I had on my 25-day trip. It would be an easy choice for me to take the half-board option if I returned to the Logar Valley and stayed at Govc Vršnik.
