Any recommendations as to places to stay and good winery tours that originate from that area (all I've seen so far are from Ljubljana)? Any other suggestions are welcomed!

I'm working on a trip to Slovenia this fall and ran across Vesna Velišček. Her home is 15 minutes east of the municipality of Brda, and she offers a variety of private tours, including a wine tasting tour, for (what I consider) fairly reasonable prices. She also has two rooms to rent in her home. Reviews on Trip Advisor and AirBNB for the rooms are excellent (though a fair number on TA are written by people with a single review).
I'm going to spend a couple of days doing tours with Vesna in September. I already had lodging in the area lined up before I connected with her. Otherwise, I would pretty strongly consider staying here... sounds like one of those elusive "local experiences" that everyone is seeking.
