GoOpti vs. DRD transfer Venice to Ljubljana

Staying in Venice couple of days before heading to Ljubljana to meet up with RS tour.

Looking for opinions re: transfers from wither GoOpti or DRD.......I have contacted DRD but have been reading many good reviews of GoOpti as well, however I'm a little confused by their different types of services......it seems the VIP service is more straightforward but way more expensive. What confuses me is the fluid pick-up times for their shared services.......can anyone speak to this from experience?

I would contact them myself but I cannot seem to find an email for GoOpti to ask my my questions and I really don't want to call them.

Thanks for your help.

I emailed Go Opti a few weeks ago. I know there's a link somewhere on their page. I did this transfer last year. I took the shared shuttle. It ended up being just me and one other person (I was picked up first thing in Venice then the driver had to pick up another passenger at some other airport). When booking I specified that I wanted to be in Ljubljana by a certain time. I believe we arrived an hour (maybe a bit more) after that specified time. The drive is nice, although a bit slow at times. There are a couple of rest stops at gas stations/convenience marts. If you're pressed to get into Ljubljana early you can always try adding a note to reservation that you have a train/plane to catch by a certain time and they should try to accommodate you as best as possible. I don't know what DRD is so I can't comment on that or how it compares to Go Opti.

Thank you Gabriel ....... I believe I went through all the links on their site......it seems the only option they have to contact them is to call......they also list their travel agents through Slovenia who do have emails but that is adding another layer to this process.

DRD.si is another transport option with fixed times and place to be picked up. Communicating with them seems much more straightforward as does understanding their options. My plan was to use them but I see on here that many including RS staff in Slovenia like GoOpti but their options are confusing and short of calling I cannot figure out a way to ask them to clarify.

[email protected] should work. It's what I used a few weeks ago. They recently changed their website, so I guess they don't show their email anymore.

DRD is a once-daily scheduled bus service that should be quite reliable in its commitment to the stated departure and arrival times at the stations (departing Venice airport or Venice Mestre). Many hotels in are easily walkable from the Ljubljana bus station. I think the main benefit of GoOpti would be to connect other cities.

Thank you Gabriel and Laura.....I think I would feel more comfortable with a fixed schedule such as DRD offers.
